Increase in gas tax, other vehicle fees proposed by commission

The typical vehicle owner would pay an extra $120 a year to drive in Wisconsin, under a package of recommendations proposed Wednesday by a state transportation commission. The commission is asking lawmakers and Gov. Scott Walker to adopt a 5-cent hike in the state gas tax, an increase in annual vehicle registration fees based on miles driven and a big jump in heavy truck registration fees. I really hope that they do not do this. It is just too much! It already costs too much to own a vehicle & pay for gas, etc.

Pretty soon we will back to horse and buggies...
