Near west side break-in nets jewelry, second attempt interrupted by resident

A 75-year-old woman may have scared off a would-be burglar Monday morning at her near west side residence, but a couple living two blocks away wasn't so lucky. Madison police said in a news release the two break-ins happened on Jefferson Street, but it wasn't known which one occurred first. Full Story: The Cap Times
