Madison woman sued by state, accused of operating unlicensed company

A Madison woman has been sued by the state for allegedly running an unlicensed debt adjustment service. The suit against Laura Schuster was filed Friday and announced Wednesday by the Department of Justice. According to the lawsuit: Schuster operated Midwest Homeowner Solutions LLC, a company that was notified in 2010 by the Department of Financial Institutions that it was operating illegally because no license was obtained to conduct business.
