Catching Up: Doctor agreed to pay man who said HIV status was disclosed to mom

A UW Hospital doctor agreed in October to pay $5,000 to a Middleton man who said his HIV status was given to his mother without his consent during a stay at the hospital last year. The payment settled a lawsuit between the man, who was allowed to file the lawsuit anonymously, and Dr. Christopher Doro, who had treated him at the hospital in November 2010.
