Police seek suspected copper wire thief posing as electrician

If a man in a white hard hat shows up at your construction site and starts eyeballing electrical wiring, call the police. Madison police have received reports the past two weeks of such a man posing as an electrician looking at wiring at a west side construction site and of a similar man who tried to steal copper wiring from a west side store. The construction site incident happened on Dec. 7 at Cress Funeral Home, 6021 University Ave., the Madison Police Department said in a news release. Full Story: Madison.com
