Virus or toxin may be to blame for death of inmate in Green County

The death of a 17-year-old inmate in the Green County Jail on Wednesday may have been caused by a virus or toxin, his stepfather said. Kyle Peotter of Freeport, Ill., and formerly of Monroe was found dead in his cell at about 6 a.m. Deputies and emergency responders tried to revive him but were unsuccessful.
