Teen charged with first-degree reckless homicide in baseball bat beating

Koalton Peterson, who allegedly beat a 20-year-old Fitchburg man to death with a baseball bat over a marijuana sale that didn't come to fruition, was charged Monday with first-degree reckless homicide. Peterson, 18, of Mount Horeb, remained in the Dane County Jail on $1 million bail after appearing in court Monday afternoon.
