Former company controller gets jail in embezzlement

The former controller of a Fitchburg real estate development company will spend five months in jail for embezzling money from the firm in 2009 and 2010. Mark J. Cash, 45, of Madison, was sentenced to eight years of probation with the jail term as a condition of his probation. He pleaded guilty in October to four counts of theft in a business setting for allegedly stealing from Fleming Development Inc. Full Story: Wisconsin State Journal
