Developer, city reach tentative deal for $3.4M in public financing for Downtown project

The city and a developer have a tentative deal on $3.4 million in public support for a proposed $60.6 million, 14-story mixed-use project with new Madison Fire Department offices near Overture Center. The $3.4 million in tax incremental financing (TIF) assistance is less than the $4.1 million sought by Hovde Properties but still requires an exception from city TIF policy, Economic Development Director Aaron Olver said.
