The town of Perry is hoping that an unusual move by a state appeals court last week will help it come out on top in a long fight with a property owner over land near a historic church.
The 4th District Court of Appeals last week withdrew two opinions that it issued in August and September over the acquisition of land by the town for a park around the historic Hauge Log Church, which was built by Norwegian settlers in 1852.
