A protester who was caught chalking the Capitol sidewalks in August will have his citation dropped if he follows all laws and policies when on state grounds, the Department of Administration announced Monday.
Steven J. Books, of Mount Horeb, will have his civil citation dropped July 7 if he refrains from chalking, attending events that have not been issued a permit and complies with Wisconsin statutes, administrative code and legislative chamber rules at the Capitol and other state buildings, DOA spokeswoman Stephanie Marquis said.
